Anyone in the Aberdeen, MD area? Archived From: Off Topic

I am headed that way for a conference in late July, and was wondering if any FW'ers would like to meet up for a happy hour or something. I am very happily married, so don't make it into something it's not, but I do enjoy meeting people and would like to say hi to online friends if possible.

It would probably either be the evening of July 28 (Monday), or, more probably, the evening of the 30th (Wednesday). And don't worry--I won't be taking pics of you and posting them on the Intarwebs or anything.

You can either reply here or PM me. Let me know!

Hey, the mission at Edgewood is over. It's only conventional ammo there now...

I did love it the first time I went on base there. They said, "Okay, this is a working base, so during the day you will probably hear explosions, and after hours you may hear machine-gun fire from the range down the road from your building."

True, MadAnthony lives in White Marsh (Exit 67), which is just down I-95 from Aberdeen (Exit 74 to Exit 85)

I know where that is! I stayed at one of the hotels there before for one of our conferences, because my coworker recommended it.

Turns out she recommended it because there was good shopping there. Who cares about shopping!?! Show me the seafood!

You're going to have to go closer into Baltimore for some good old fashioned steamed crabs with lots of Old Bay. . .YUMMY!!! Check out this link for good crab houses.

I will definitely find good seafood while I am in that area. Not much good stuff fresh here in Arkansas, except catfish.

I am being kidnapped over the weekend by two of my good friends up there and going to the Fredericksburg area. I am hoping we can get to Capt. Joe's Crab House!
