I watched 1408 (a stephen king movie) with John Cusack (love him) and man.. this movie was rather bad... not scary... just bad...

I am looking forward to Hellboy 2 (this month I think) My son and I loved the 1st one and hope the sequel is decent too...

Out of Africa

We went to see it in the theater, expecting Robert Redford to have a large role based on trailers and commercials, he was barely in it, and Meryl Streep portrayed a spoiled woman for whom I had a lot of trouble feeling any sympathy. Big clue when we walked in should have been the fact only about 5-6 people were in the theater, but then it's too late.

Even my wife thought it sucked.

Sweeny Todd... Wife is a big Johnny Depp fan... she hated this movie...

I never saw it..

Everyone talked sooo.. much about Pretty Woman, when I finally saw it, wasn't that good

27 Dresses, I didn't expect too much but at least the charachters could have some chemistry. It was pretty bad.

Talledega Nights: Legend of Ricky Bobby was pretty bad. We tried to watch it the other night on Encore Ondemand; my wife fell asleep and I quit with about 30 minutes left. Really liked Elf and thought this might be good also.

The Happening!

I will never go see another M Night Shamalon movie in the theater again, no matter HOW GOOD the previews look. I always get bamboozled by that man.

Another Blair Witch vote. "Brothers Grimm", which I thought might actually be a cool, dark-ish adventure and was lame and senseless throughout. The first Hulk was disappointing.

I almost saw 27 dresses on a flight to LA a couple of weeks ago, fell asleep 20 minutes after it started

Movies I'm looking forward to but am afraid they will suck:

X-Files (it's almost certain to disappoint, isn't it?)
Star Trek (I really, truly do NOT want this movie to suck...I mean, Karl Urban as Bones HAS to rock, doesn't it?)

Fritz The Cat

Knocked Up

People I knew raved about how funny it was, but it just went on and on and on.... I finally gave up with about 45 minutes left of the movie.

Comedy, horror, and musical all in one. Beautifully put together by Tim Burton. That movie is definitely not for everyone, but I loved it, especially the surprise tragic ending.

I've been surprised by some movies that I thought would be bad but turned out to be great. For the last 10 years or so, it's been rare that I would want to watch one of the pieces of garbage coming out of Hollywood.
