We have a small block party (actually moved into the same neighboorhood we always go to for the 4th..
So we have about 15 + families there...

We gnerally spend about 40$ on the "Family TNT pack" basic array of fireworks.. but then most of the other familes spend about the same so our 4th lasts for about 2 hours.. with 2 guys lighting the fireworks one after each other....

My fav is disco flashing ones mixed with the smoke bombs... I am in CA and none of the good ones are legal here... even tho they still show up.. somehow..

I haven't bought any for 2 years, since I haven't gotten down to Missouri. Last time it was about $60 or $80.

I aint saying but the neighbors always comment how much they enjoy the show.

I don't buy any since they outlawed M80's, Silver Salutes, and Cherry Bombs.

A can of Bushs beans and a lighter.

Spent about $5 on some sparklers for the youngest (a girl). Still felt like I should have just taken a lighter to a $5 bill.

I spent about $35-40 on various fireworks, mostly "show" style, jumping jacks, pinwheels and a few other novelties. I will not buy sparklers, I have a unnatural fear of them.

I hate sparklers. I think a year or two ago was the first time we let our son have a sparkler. I spent $10 for 150 glo bracelets at Michaels back in May. Going to give those out to the kids in the neighborhood before the fireworks. DH bought a pack of fireworks. Probably spent about $60.

I used to make my own. But also used a Big Bang Cannon, which is legal in Calif, as it only does an implosion, but sure are loud. You can buy them at bigbangcannons.com or eBay. Cops came a few times but left after they saw it was just a toy cannon.

We usually have a good time in the trailer park. The double wides usually get more than we do.

I just walked around to the houses in the neighborhood with kids there, and handed out the bracelets. You would think I was giving out gold coins.

Sparklers are supposed to be almost totally harmless!

Richmond times dispatch just says "caused by a sparkler or a candle"

Um, which is it? I can't imagine what kind of shirt he was wearing that a sparkler could have caused it to catch on fire.
