So a federal judge has asked google to provide the identities of every single person who has used youtube and every video that they have watched.

"A federal judge in New York has ordered Google to turn over to Viacom a database linking users of YouTube, the Web’s largest video site by far, with every clip they have watched there."

Google says they are disappointed in the ruling. It is one more of their "do no evil" lies.

In my opinion Google is one of the biggest threats to privacy today. The amount of data that they farm and the amount of websites that allow google to track people is beyond comprehension. If they really cared about privacy, they wouldnt store that much detailed data. Simply by storing this information, they are making it available to others.

There is no reason for them to keep track of every video that I have watched ever. There are ways to keep track of the data without violating peoples privacy.

Google "goggle shuts down anti-you know who web-sites" for an eye-popping result.

UK Google privacy invasion.

Where will it end?

There is a difference between taking a picture on a public street and needlessly storing records for ridiculously long times, just because you can.
