From your "hint", I had thought about the actress who plays "Ugly Betty", but it doesn't look like her. The UB actress is actually very good looking in real life.
Your hint and the real UB actress brings up a point that bugs me: Why didn't they find an actress who is "ugly" in real life to play the role. We all know that the best roles on TV and movies are reserved for "attractive" looking people. So when a role for an ugly woman comes up, why couldn't they fill it with an ugly actress? Sort of equivalent to what they used to do in some early movies by putting "black face" on a white person to play the role of a black person.
She has absolutely perfect skin. I mean it almost looks porcelain. Its probably from make-up and such but either way it looks fantastic.
Her full-time occupation is building sand castles.
And she starred in the original, silent, version of Snakes On a Plane.

Isn't that the whole point of the show? That she really isn't ugly? Only ugly by fashion industry standards? Like the size 6 "fat" character in "The Devil Wore Prada"?
