So, I was just in youtube, and a thing at the top said something like 'it appears you have a google account. would you like to merge your youtube account with google?"
(i already get occasional youtube updates at my gmail anyway, so not sure what this is all about)

I clicked "not now" and signed out.

Scary stuff. I understand where Viacom is upset but I realistically don't know (with the exception of manually watching every uploaded video) how youtube could possibly stop copyright material from appearing on their site.
