If you could bring a dead rock star back to life for one gig, who would it be?

John Lennon, Jimi Hendrix, Elvis, Kurt Cobain, Buddy Holly? Freddie Mercury? Or someone else?

This Day in Music are carrying out a world-wide survey to see which dead rock stars people would want to see again - for one night only!

Who would you pick? You can see a full list and vote on

Sadly, the 20th anniversary of Dread Zeppelin is the same night as NIN..or I would have so been there...for Elvis.

Hard to decide between Elvis (young Elvis...not white jumpsuit elvis) and Janis Joplin.

Kurt Cobain is up there as well.

I think for the purpose of this exercise, we need to assume we'll get back what we lost at the time we lost it.

So those lost in their later years like Elvis, Freddie Mercury, George Harrison and John Lennon would come back to us past their prime.

OTOH, Cobain, SRV, Hendrix, Joplin, Morrison, et al, would still be in their prime.

Keith Richards.

it depends...would they be performing sober? i'd have to get my money's worth in order for me to want to bring them back.
