That's just messed up.

"The RBZ has noted with concern the unjustifiable and incessant general increases in prices of goods and services."
Glad they're taking a strong stance and noting that there is inflation. That's the first step.

$100 billion for a loaf of bread. And I thought Vons was expensive. I've been reading about this for a while. Check Wikipedia. The government should probably give up trying to print money. It's now just paper with big numbers on it. Soon the cost of the paper will be more than the value of the note.
I wonder if this is what we might look forward to in the U.S. someday.

When this time comes, can't the government just setup an internal cash system that would work only in their country so people can work and eat?
I guess this only works if they were a self sufficient country.
Also food in that country is as expensive as the US. Who figures out these currency exchanges.
100 Billion = 1 USD = 4 oranges.
With inflation that high, what is even the point of a cash based system? Just go back to bartering...
Home of the Homeless Billionaires!
The part that I think is messed up about all this hyper inflation stuff is like for retired people living on savings. Say someone there had like $50,000,000 in savings (back when that could buy a lot). Now with hyper-inflation that money is worth considerably less right? So they thought they had enough to live for 20 years. Now with prices the way they are they only have enough in savings for 1 year. To me that would be the worst position to be in. Or am I just looking at this wrong??
