All of the Firestorm stuff is total garbage anyway. This whole thread is a complete waste. |

But according to an earlier post, tis a savings of just under 30 pounds (sterling). Ah, excepting that my calculation was actually based on weight. 1 penny from 1983 or later is 2.5 grams. That means 2,999 of them weigh in at a rough total of 7,498 grams, which in turn is just about 16 1/2 pounds. Not sure how much sterling weighs...

Red from me for the OP. Way to much smarmy condescending cuteness. Here I am now reading a thread with a whole mess of off topic nonsense, including my own post and have learned nothing about the deal. Hope you got your jollys and thanks for the great contribution to the FW community. BTW you really got ripped on the deal of yours. The tools are trash and they were selling a 18 volt three piece tool kit last Christmas for $29.99 |

From my experience, you've gotta be really careful with Firestorm. Look at the details fore buying. I've got a Firestorm Drill with 450 lbs of torque and its great but they sell many different versions which look almost the same, but have half the amount of power, regardless of voltage. |

dishdude said:All of the Firestorm stuff is total garbage anyway. This whole thread is a complete waste. Agree. The combo set I bought from costco a while back is totally worthless now. The batteries hold little charge anymore, the drill started to fall apart, the lamp broke, etc, etc... If you are going to be using these types of tools often, spend money and get a decent set that will last you a lifetime. |

umcsom said:Local lowes had 90% of black and decker firestorm tools on clearance. Amount ranged from 10% to almost 50%. Most was between 10 and 15%. I only found one thing that I thought was a fairly good buy. It is an 18 volt drill with 2 batteries and a dual charger. Normally 9497 pennies now 6498 pennies
what I bought
OP editorial: The reason I post in pennies is to see who the idiots on FW are. Inevitably someone will ask how much that is in dollars. It always makes me laugh. I don't care that I get red. I don't post for t shirts. I post too help the community out. If I can get a laugh out of it, why not?
EDIT: fixxed spilling misteak I call lies, lowes would refuse those pennies as would most businesses. they want paper. |

Wait, why is this in the "Off Topic" forum? I've seen post moved to "Expired Deals", "One Time Use Coupons", "Grocery Deals", "Travel Deals", "Deal Discussion", "Computers", "Free Stuff", and "Finance", but never the "Off Topic" forum! |
