What I dislike the most is how store workers put those products in our cart and then force us to buy them! |

I see the king of FW SUCKISSTAPLES negged me. He must have bought stock in P&G or General Mills, cause I know he knows better. I do consider this thread documentation that the users here are not quite as clever as they think they are. |

It's funny what people pay for water. Most of it comes from the faucet anyway. |

My favorite factoid about the bottled water phenomenon is that the national standards for bottled water quality are actually lower than the standards for tap water. four year study LA Times article |

The same crowd you see here that thinks ripoff deceptive packaging is OK is busy spending $1000 a year on NY Tapwater I get for free. They are also overpaying something awful at fancy restaurants, but we won't go there. Literally. |

They are also overpaying something awful at fancy restaurants, but we won't go there. Literally. The so called people here you know so well, You don't know at all. Just because they don't support your outburst, and choose to blindly cry out in arms with you, does not mean they don't shop smart nor does it mean they are all rich. I understand your battle cry, people here can testify that I am VERY vocal and outspoken about Corporate-Consumer issues, but you have to go about it in a less attack type tone and instead use powers of persuasion. If someone disagrees with you, it does not make them stupid nor sheep, just makes them followers of another band and different beat. Less accusations and more friendliness. It is easier to convince a friend than an enemy right? |

Hey Frugal, less pontificating and more paying attention to who started what. I brought up a legitimate point, and was negged and personally attacked. You assignment is to read carefully from message 1, and then come back here and pay your respects. I'm not sure, but I think there might have been some nasty comments that were deleted early on, certainly not at my request. They do that here. |

The point is dow1000, You are making an argument/debate on a public message forum where it's members are not as as activist like you. What do you think will happen from your complaints about companies policies? One thread to change an industry standard? when you say: "I think we should be writing letter of complaint to the FTC." Where are the others in your WE party of complainers? You seem to be speaking alone. |

Because personal responsibility is important. Aside from the fact that virtually every supermarket posts "price per ounce" on the same shelf label as the price. It's your job to read the labels. I already pointed out how consumers can change this, don't buy it. link |

I appreciate it that Dow1000 is going to open and run a nationwide chain of stores which offer more product at lower cost. I'm sure he will be successful. |

I'm sure he will be successful. he could if he went truly generic like years ago with the black and white labels or like how no-ad products started. advertising takes a huge chunk of that selling price. |
