You honestly expect to get paparazzi phone numbers on a forum concentrating on personal finance and bank deals? Wrong venue, don't you think?

Quite honestly, this is how the whole paparazzi thing works. People who are close to the star, usually employees, hotel desk clerks, limo drivers, etc call the various gossip rags/sites and offer to sell this sort of info. Depending upon how rare your info is, how easy it is to get a shot of this celebrity, and if there is a special perk involved such as a new significant other, new baby, they got fat/skinny, etc then the price goes up. Exclusivity of the info can also increase the value of the info. You need to spill the beans fast though, as someone else may beat you to the punch. Don't waste a scoop by pondering the moral issues if you are interested in cashing in on your info. The window of time where your info is actually worth something is VERY small.

The smart celebrities are the ones who have left California. Papparazo don't seem to be a problem in Wyoming and South Dakota.

Exactly, when I worked at HRB HQ I had access to client's personal information. What if I'd shared that info with a stalker? I could, and should, be held responsible. Why is it any different with a celebrity?

Here's somethine I know for fact. Some A-list stars "leak" their own out-in-public info in just this way to get the publicity and attract the media. This is how I know one A-lister broke the news of a new relationship. How did it happen that YOU found out the info. Maybe you're doing exactly what they want you to do.Well, if that's the case, then OP surely deserves to get paid for the info.
