Wow! This documentary literately drop kicked my brain into all sorts of thoughts and concerns.

I was very surprised to find no mention of this movie here.

I hoped to find some Fatwalleters' opinions on Part 3 about the FED.

I know there are facebook & the official ZeitGeist websites with some discussion but they are both strongly Biased and come across as "conspiracy sites".

I'm more like the frugal tech types on here and wondered if what the consensus here is to the legitimacy of these outrageous claims.

Anyone have proof the FED isn't a giant scam pulled on us?

Is there no benefit to borrowing money from the FED instead of the country just making it???

I understand the whole movie is highly criticized and potentially debatable, but can anyone clearly (with credible evidence) disprove any parts of the Zeitgeist?

Overall the base message I got was to be a critical thinker and the best method to determine truth is the Scientific method.

"no one can tell you the truth; it has to be realized."

Zeitgeist - Part 3: How The Bankers Control the World

I'll be nice. This has been discussed in Finance.

I could find nothing on Zeitgeist when I searched but one reference in a Medical thread just refering to it by its german meaning, "spirit of the times"

Whoever controls the bankers, controls the world.

Whoever controls whoever controls the bankers, controls the world.

Whoever controls whoever controls whoever controls the bankers, controls the world.

Whoever controls whoever controls whoever controls whoever controls the bankers, controls the world.

Your will find your answer is in your OP, where you say the official sites are strongly biased conspiracy sites.

my neighbor talks about this all of the time. i just haven't been able to sit still to watch it. /shrugs/

We could go back to the monetary system we had before the Fed was created and have no single national currency (each major bank issued its own notes), no public control over the money supply, wild gyrations in the GDP, and maybe even bring back that ol' noose of gold. Granted, the Fed had a disastrous start and caused the Great Depression, but since then it had long done fairly well, until it was put under the chairmanship of a person who didn't believe in the Fed. The Fed is just a central bank.

Are you a shill? Because the documentary isn't that good.

Seems to impressed the uninformed and uneducated folks. Michael Moore would be proud.

Whoever supplies computers with bits controls the money supply!

I heard that while most bits are made in the USA, the 1's are being increasingly outsourced to China (where they are made by children and prisoners) and the 0's are being outsourced to India.

This is because shipping rates continue to decline.

India dont need no zeros.. Zero was invented in India

Forget the Zeitgeist. I'm more worried about dying...2012 style.

bravebiffy said: Forget the Zeitgeist. I'm more worried about dying...2012 style. We're good until Dec 31, 2099. That's as far as the clock in my PC goes.

All I know is I can't die yet in 2012. I recently planted a crapload of fruit trees and they don't start fruiting in at least another 2 years.

Zeitgeist has a lot of truth in it, but in fact, it is just an ad for a neo-pagan religion. If you study madame lavotsky and their guru Jacque, you will see that they are intimately hooked into occultism and luciferianism. It's almost comical how all religion is a mechanism of control, but their religion isn't. I guess if you call your religion a system, that makes it not a religion. The venus project is really a recruiting ground for junior cult members.

If you listen to Peter Joseph, he is comfortable with re-educating those who don't go along. He has no answer for those who do not wish to be re-educated The one thing he misses in his utopian dreamworld is the requirement for a slave class to do the menial or distasteful work. Their premise is that robots will be able to do it all, but I have yet to imagine robots that can clean out grease traps, solve sewer problems or do an entire host of unforeseen and necessary activities that only a human can do.

The utopian desire has often been used to promote collectivism and the system espoused by Zeitgeist is simply another form of collectivism where the few centrally plan the lives of many - in other words, a technological based tyranny where freedom is sacrificed for the greater good. Sound familiar?

My belief is that Zeitgeist is one of many backup plans for the creation of the New World Order's one world government. It is sometimes difficult to understand the psychological warfare strategies in a technologically developed society. I think one only need study the early propagandists for a little bit to understand the modern mechanisms of control. The societal masters make us think we are exercising free will when in fact, we are exercising the will they have subtly told us to demonstrate.

Zeitgeist is a good first step to break the left/right paradigm, but quickly devolves into simply another form of technological tyranny.

Thanks for your thoughts delzy.

But I don't see how you think it promotes 'neo-pagan religion' when he clearly states that religion is another tool governments use to manipulate people who are unaware of whats going on. That was the whole purpose of explaining how so many of the theist religions are based on astrology. The king james bible has many parts right from the egyption book of the dead.

The whole Venus Project is far fetched at this stage of technology but he the point was by the time were we close enough its very likely technology would catch up. Look at the drastic leaps in just 20 years.

I also believe he purposefully said it was not a utopian idea because those can never work and are static.

My main interest was in how people from a 'consumer' site would comment on the FED.

I doubt larrymoencurly even watched part 3

"We could go back to the monetary system we had before the Fed was created and have no single national currency (each major bank issued its own notes), no public control over the money supply, wild gyrations in the GDP, and maybe even bring back that ol' noose of gold. I'm just seeking the truth,
Thanks again for all the comments.

Creve, I meant madame blavatsky and the religion I speak of is Theosophy. All Zeitgeist roads lead back to a mechanism of control that is the antithesis of liberty.
