With IE6 the color appears to be 'behind' the grayish border surrounding the 'whiter' portion of the forums. Opera 10 you can plainly see the overall background color. No grayish overlay on top of it.

Time to upgrade that 14K modem, MD, so you don't have to sit through page transitions. Like MVP, my pages load super quick and haven't seen any transition between the two pages.

Sorry your load is super quick. The average is between 3 - 13 minutes.

No. Obviously you don't hang around OT too much.
Maybe if his name was SchwingBlade, he would get it.

if you use firefox then you can change the background color using "Stylish" addon. You can make it look like the added picture. Once you install stylish add the following code to a "blank style".

Can you PM me a screenshot highlighting the parts/pages you're referring to, maybe my monitor brightness is toned down or something. I have the same problem as MD(except my background was black, now I'm trying blue), and I'm using IE6 also. Last time I upgraded my IE, the it slowed down my computer so I uninstalled it. I'll try it in Safari and see what happens. The other issue is that on, for instance, this page while typing my response to you, it's very white and glaring. I almost see spots in front of my eyes from the page.
I've been at work all day so I don't know if anything has been done to tweek this. I can't tell if my head is starting to hurt because I spent the day entering in hundreds of thousands of yards of lace in the data entry, or because of the FW pages I'm now viewing.

I have seen it happen a couple times now, normally when something hangs for a second. However, most of the time (2 out of however many hundreds of times I've clicked around)it doesn't happen.
If you don't want to update IE, can you give Firefox a try?
