A Colorado newspaper is looking to hire a mary jane reviewer to cover medical marijuana dispensaries (medical marijuana is legal in Colorado). link Applicants must have a medical ailment that allows them to legally enter a dispensary, and buy.
I have a question, and perhaps someone who partakes of the ocassional medicinal inhalation(s) can answer it: Montana recognizes and legalized medicinal marijuana. As a work comp adjuster we sometimes see medical marijuana used for chronic back pain. If it's true that marijuana causes "the munchies", and makes a person less likely to be active---how is sitting on the couch, eating Twinkies, Cheez Doodles and Ho-Hos, gaining weight and getting deconditioned going to be helpful to chronic low back pain????
That said, I don't necessarily have an issue w/ marijuana. I have yet to see someone who's used marijuana become violent (like w/ alcohol or other psychotropic drugs), and rarely drive faster than 20 MPH(again alcohol and other drugs). I think marijuana should be legalized and taxed just like cigarettes/tobacco and alcohol.
