I paid $20 for a queen sized CordaRoy's beanbag chair at a yard sale. Does anyone know how I should clean the thing? Obviously the covers are going in the wash, but what about the bag/filling itself? Can I just febreeze it?

is CordaRoy a brand? Check to see if there is a website for cleaning instructions?

Lysol spray for the bean bag filling/cover is an option.

I would just burn it, Who knows what nasty things were done on it

If the fabric is made from corduroy, check the label for washing instructions. If not, put it on the gentle cycle. The dryer can do some damage; I would hang it to dry and then fluff in the dryer on low when it's almost dry.

Corduroy is to fabric what the Pontiac Aztech is to automobiles.

LOL, same here. I admit to being squeamish about other peoples' funk. I cringe when someone sits on my desk chair at work. One of my colleagues used to always plop her butt down right on my desk. As soon as she left, I pulled out my roll of paper towels and spray cleaner.

I even hate trying on jeans in stores. Who knows how many bare-assed skanks tried them on before me. I've been known to ask the sales assistant to get me a new pair from the stock room that's still wrapped in plastic.

I automatically assume people are leaving their butt juices everywhere and act accordingly.

Ewwww.

I washed the cover 4 times and doused the insides liberally with lysol and febreeze. Then I bought a new liner. As a true Fatwalleter, I couldn't pass up $20 and some cleaning for a $250 item. (If it had looked gross or the house it came from looked gross, it would not be here, I'm not THAT cheap. But, I'm also not skeeved out by a lot of stuff. )

Corda-Roy's

They don't have cleaning instructions online but they have a contact phone number: 352-332-1837.

It looks awfully big to stuff into a washer. You might try bringing it to a dry cleaner, or maybe a laundromat with supersized washers.

Yes.. the whole thing is like a 4 foot sphere, and filled with foam. Don't think there is a washer it would fit in. lol
