This pullover version actually costs $10 more than the zip front version, even though the manufacturing costs would be less without the zipper. While I really like it and own it in both light grey and camel , I'm surprised there are that many other foolish and extravagant people out there. It seems kind of boring and basic, and a similar version could probably be found at a much lower price. Why did it sell out?

ETA: yesterday I found out that my wife's 1992 plymouth acclaim (book value roughly $350) needs $500 worth of work to run again. So instead of having the work done, we're looking to buy another used car in the $300-500 range.

Obviously you don't understand women. Men shop because they need or want to buy something. Women shop because they like to shop. Just because I browse their website frequently and know the details of their merchandise selection intimately, that doesn't mean I have any intention of actually buying.

Exactly. Great deals on cashmere sweaters are available everywhere. That's why I thought it was strange that this particular sweater sold out at full price. If it was on sale for 75% off, I'd understand, but it's not a "deal" and the style is fairly ordinary.

Well, yes, of course I was. Wasn't that obvious? And grey and camel aren't boring. They're two of my favorite colors.
