My brother-in-law had a sonnagram where he had 50% plaque in his neck artery. They are doing more testing and might have to do a stent. Curious if anyone knows of someone who had this. Are survival chances high?

Welcome to 1-800-FATWALLET-MED how may we help you?

They can practically do those in the drive thru while he orders another triple cheeseburger with extra bacon.

My grandfather had both of his carotid arteries cleaned out and it worked fine for him. He was about 80 when he had it done.

While they are in there, ask them to supersize it.

Stenting is a fairly common procedure. Getting one in the neck is likely low risk, they're more commonly used around the heart. Dick Cheney has at least one.

I hear that Crest is tough on Plauque

i want to suggest that this should be a part of the healthcare reform, to have people ask important medical questions on internet forums of strangers of no relevant medical knowledge.

Would this be before or after their six month wait?

Is it something like this 50 plaque? That must hurt like hell. How did it get in there?
