I know some of you are techies here. Can I get some critiques on my new website? Any constructive criticism is welcome. I am trying to ease the navigation of my site
When I clicked on "prints for sale", I expected it to open in the same window because all the others (animals, fun etc) had and it used the same flash animation.
In the "prints for sale" page, when I click a category I get thumbnails of prints in that category. But if I am already in that category and have a picture open, then clicking the category does nothing. I expected to see the thumbnails again. (yes I know you put a thumbnail button below the pics)
When I put a print in my cart and then view the cart I get options for paper type, I don't know what the difference is between the two paper types listed. Also the "toning" and "border" options in the cart remained greyed out for the two prints I tried. I thought I had more to do to order a print but that it wasn't letting me. Maybe these options should not be visible unless they are selectable.
I would like to see some information about the print costs and the ordering options (sizes, papers, etc.) before adding it to the cart. Just a little FAQ or something.
EDIT: and more info about the photographer in a more visible location. The only info is on the contact page. As art, part of what you are selling is the artist.

I like the 'scroll' effect when you hover the links on the bottom. Also like the full-screen mode although the regular mode is almost full-screen as-is.
I had trouble figuring out where to click to do what. Sometimes the screen was simply blank, but luckily, the lower left corner told me what the site was doing - usually transferring data.
Here's an example of a site by another photographer that I find easy to navigate.
initial load time seemed slow uncertain if that is a server bandwidth thing or that the site is heavily graphic and just big regarding navigation . . could the menu pop up earlier for a moment I wasn't sure it was on its way.
is this built around any specific system that might have some caching features and other means of optimizing the load time?
very "flashy" (if you care about search engines make sure the Google bot likes it)
