I stopped by Sephora at lunch time. They're having a weekend promotion for customers who belong to their Beauty Insiders program and have purchased enough to reach the premium "VIB" level. The place was packed and they were playing Madonna's "Material Girl." I thought that was appropriate.
Petty is overrated as a driver. He won a lot of races because he had factory support and entered 50-75 races a year.
He also didn't know when to retire; raced for 10 years after his last win. Same for his son Kyle, both raced long after their skills no longer matched up to their name.
Jeff Gordon is a better driver, all his wins have come during a period of much tighter parity in NASCAR.

I'm new to NASCAR so I don't know if this is true but Michael Waltrip seems pretty sad to me. He's this old guy that has like 7 wins total or something in cup. To his credit I think he is limiting his schedule next year.
Why can't we have cheaper energy? Cold Fusion was labeled "con"fusion, Tesla technology always gets swept under the carpet, we can get 2 TBs of memory for 99 dollars but energy keeps us trapped with outrageous prices/rates, I believe in conspiracies... But I'm starting not too. We got energy drinks and the greenhouse effect! just more ways to spend money. Can we as Humans overcome the powers that be?

Wasn't close enough to see if he was checking his email, or if there is some sort of prayer book app out there.
I bet he was texting. It's amazing how many people are apparently unable to refrain from constant texting even it situations where it's totally inappropriate or extremely dangerous. I read an article that said obsessive text messaging is being officially classified as an addictive disorder.
rather feeling under the weather bf has the munchies & we are out of sweets so I am baking a Starbucks lemon loaf. Will see if it tastes like the real deal!

You can see the little blue screen lit up everywhere when it is dark in there (which is usually is). They just are too wrapped up in there texting to even care that the light going on and off is a total distraction to people who want to see the event. I don't even know why these texters are buying a ticket!

Texting is the new crack. Apparently many people send hundreds of texts every day, to the point that it interferes with their sleep, school, work, family and social life. I don't understand the appeal of spending every waking moment texting just like I don't understand giving up everything to become a crack whore. Why would anyone even want to give up their real life for something so foolish?
