If you shot a big buck with a bow, and you still have complaints, it might be time for a new kind of getaway weekend. Let's see, you could join the girls for their next spa day, or maybe go antiquing (ideally in some town where they don't sell booze on Sundays, where the parking, food and souvenirs are overpriced, and every gift shop smells like potpourri).
Seriously, I thought to guys, things like snoring and digestive events below the belt were the source of great pride and accomplishment.

shot the biggest buck ever with bow, two hundred and fifty pounds,
oh no, someone is passing gas ........ I am a dead man
Dave?
Yeah you should have brought hearing protection. I keep a couple of those foam ear plugs in my wallet, and have plenty of them in my hunting kit. Where's the deer pic?
It's super lean. Unless you cook it medium rare, the quarter meat (steaks and roasts) have a somewhat grainy texture which turns some people off. It usually does have a somewhat gamey aftertaste or smell. The backstraps (which come from either side of the spine) are the best textured and flavored cut to me (along with the tenderloin, the only parts I don't grind for sausage/jerky).
Kandykornhead, where can I buy vension jerky? I live in CA, there is no deer to hunt.

IMO, Bison is better tasting than venison.
It depends on how you butcher it. When done properly, venison is neither gamey nor grainy, but wonderfully tender and delicious. In my house ALL the venison is like eating backstrap! No roasts, all steaks. The tricks is to remove all the tendon and ligament film from the meat. It makes for smaller cuts of meat, but oh! so worth it!
I don't care for venison myself. I can handle deer chili, but I prefer it mixed with pork. I've not ever had a cut of straight venison that cared for. But, I am nearly a vegetarian anyway.

Too many hours of driving to where you're referring. Plenty of possums and sewer rats here to shoot though.hit and killed Bambi when it ran out in front of the car in Orange County.

Are you ever with a group of girls deer hunting?
Yes, It's possible. I know many women deer hunters.and I bet those women snore and fart too!
I have deer hunted before. I do fart. I do not snore (according to reliable sources.)
I'm a really shitty hunter though. I sit in the tree stand, read a book, and drink irish coffee. When a deer comes around, I'm juggling too much crap to be able to take a shot.
passed on several does this evening and a couple of smaller bucks, there are some more larger ones that I will try to go for. the weather has been great but the morning have been real foggy. I will be out again tomorrow to try my luck. ridn
EDIT: my snorer shot out so he went home, only have stinky pete to deal with tonight. we had deer chili
