Ok looking for peoples experiences with overnighting items, I just express mailed something and it took an extra day. Last year out of about a dozen items, 2 failed to make it it got stuck in my states dc and circled for an extra day, UPS has never failed me on an overnight delivery, while DHL has failed me once and never used again.

Granted I get my money back for the shipment, I am wondering what kind of problems others have with overnight deliveries that you ship or have shipped to you?

Express mail is 1 day to some locations, 2 days to others. We're you shipping to a location with a 1 or 2 day service time?

Its always been 1day for me, even to remote areas. Never seen a 2day time for Express on about 100 shipments or so.

I sent a large USPS Express parcel to MooseNuts, Alaska once and it guaranteed 2 days. It actually took 4 days, which was fine with me because the buyer didn't complain and I got the big refund from the USPS as extra profit.

If in fact you get the item on it's way in time for the po to say
overnight
is doable...

In my exp, 10 or so, half were refunded.

I never trust USPS if I actually need the item to get there the next day. If I don't need it to get there overnight, I use Priority. Overnight is a worthless service IMHO because you can't depend on it. FedEx Express has never let me down. I even sent an item to a small village in Belgium and it made it there in only two days.
