Not showing up was not the issue here.

The last thing I shipped - insured with delivery confirmation: 0590 3699 3000 0012 0354
Shipped 10/1.
I know it was delivered because it was an RMA and I already have the replacement.
USPS has no record of this item. Nice, eh? Likely I could file an insurance claim.

A dishonest buyer could also claim he/she never received it.
Note, I found online that USPS has a current integration problem.. See:

How nice that they didn't notify us.

OK, how did you get it to work?
Put 94 in front of the last 20 digits of the label tracking number. This normally works with any USPS tracking number, but on occasion will not.
9101785091401233003414.......is a First Class number that, according to tracking, was mailed yesterday, not 10/1.

Your number 05903699300000120354 does not look correct part may be missing
This is correct.... 9101785091401233003414I wander if it the tracking results is the public information, because the message it provides readsWe attempted to deliver your item at 8:45 AM on October 14, 2009 in CAVE JUNCTION, OR 97523 and a notice was left. You may pick up the item at the Post Office indicated on the notice, go to www.usps.com/redelivery, or call 800-ASK-USPS to arrange for redelivery.

The number I gave you was copy/paste from my USPS account.. It's the same in the confirmation email. Unless you knew (like you did) to add digits, it didn't work... They have or had some bug in the system, see my link above - other people are having the same problem.

RE: public info
Not sure what you mean by that. The item was a 6x9 envelope with 2 HP ink cartridges. Mail box must not have had a slop or opening big enough or the postman had a request to not leave packages.
ANight, yes that info is public, and it is not really a problem. To pick up the package, the recipient must show proper ID matching the addressee's name and may need to sign for the package as well. A random person cannot just walk into the PO and get the package.

I missed this tip from GITP before, here is 'official' email from USPS also advising to add the leading 94 - USPS said: Due to a technical issue, you may have experienced difficulty receiving Track & Confirm data for Click-N-Ship domestic Priority Mail labels printed between Thursday, October 1st, 2009 and Tuesday, October 20th, 2009.
If you generated a domestic Priority Mail label on Click-N-Ship within the indicated timeframe and have had difficulty with obtaining Track & Confirm data from USPS.com, we apologize for the inconvenience. If you would still like to obtain Track & Confirm data for a domestic Priority Mail label printed between the dates indicated above, please follow the instructions below:
In the Track & Confirm field on usps.com, please add two (2) additional digits, "94", to the left most position of the twenty (20) digit tracking/label number. For example, if the tracking/label # is 0550 1699 3200 0006 9161, the tracking/label # necessary to receive tracking data would be 940550 1699 3200 0006 9161.
Additionally, your domestic Priority Mail tracking number(s) for labels printed within the date range above will be automatically corrected Thursday, October 22nd, 2009, and available in your Shipping History. Please feel free to visit www.usps.com/clicknship.
Once again, we apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused, and we sincerely appreciate your business.
Thank you,
USPS Click-N-Ship Team

Hello gypsiesinthepalace, I need your advice. I am presently unable to track an Express Mail package I sent Monday morning, the 26th: The tracking / address form (Label 11-B) was filled out at my PO branch, not online via click and ship.
You mention beginning with 94 before the 20 digit tracking number can bring up the delivery record for a USPS 20 digit tracking number.
Is there an alternative method to bring up the tracking record for Express Mail, for which a tracking ID begins with 2 letters followed by a 9 digit number and ends in US? Presently I only get an acceptance at Post Office notice, nothing else while a signature confirmation package I sent at the end of the day is tracking fine.
