For all those who list on www.eBay.co.uk

If you never have but want to list it's EASY!
Goto www.eBay.co.uk, log in as usual and away you go.
Keep in mind the items are listed in GBP not U.S. dollars, and the fee structure is a little different.
Also make sure your s/h is figured for shipping your item to the U.K.
Play by the rules (paypal tracking, etc) and make a tidy profit!
Good Luck!

The fine print:

I jumped the gun a couple of hours, but I listed two items one at 900 GBP and one at 2000 GBP, and the listing fee was only 9 pence (17 cents). Anybody know what that was about? Verified on my seller account that I was only charged the 17 cents US for each listing.

Strange, I get 1.13 GBP for a 900 GBP or 2000GBP item.

In 20 minutes it'll be 5/01 for UK... I will probably list a few things

Does EMI (Express Mail International) have signature upon delivery to UK to satisfy paypoo $250+ coverage requirement?
Note EMI is different from GXG (GLobal Express Guaranteed), which does have signature.

Unfortunately no, HOWEVER, paypal recommends EMI for international transactions of ANY value.

paypoo recommend:
U.S. to International Any value USPS: Express Mail®

Basically paypoo poo their pants again on this. Years ago there was Express Mail® for int'l - only one express service. Now USPS has split it to EMI and GXG. There isn't a USPS service called Express Mail® any more.

GXG is handled by Fedex at destination so it gets signature.

Those paypoo monkeys don't know anything.

I should have never listed my stuff. I was pretty much raped by paypal after the currency conversion and fees (apparently fleabay's xchange rate differs from paypal's). Lesson learned.

total rip off.

when item was listed by gbp also shown in usd it was at 1.98 exchange rate. when money was in pp after conversion to usd it was found it was converted at 1.90. total cost of selling at co.uk site costs in excess of 10% for $500-$1000 items.

eBay displaying usd price along gpb is totally misleading. no class action on this yet?
