Not sure if this is the right place to post this at or at off topic. I want to ship guitar hero 3 not just the game but the guitar itself. I have the guitar hero 3 box but how do people package these. I have not seen a box that has a nice fit to it.

28x12x6? It's been awhile but I think that's right. Uline carries that one. You can cut it down to about half the height if you want (only really important if you are shipping air and it will be subject to dim weight).

LOL. AZ, Xmas is so long gone and you still remember the size Yeah, 28x12x6 will do, also I heard of some people using 2 Priority Mail boxes taped together, never done it myself though.

The size is correct. Go to the UPS Store and buy a box...I forgot what size...I think it is "L1" or "L" something. It's a bit taller than it needs to be, but it is 30" long, perfect length. It costs like $8-$9 or so.

2 Priority Mail boxes slapped together will do the trick.

bingo. uline is overkill for this since they won't let you purchase less than a given quantity (usually 25)

although they do send out "samples"

I sent a RB Guitar to Iraq (I think. Googled the soldier's name and she appeared to be in Iraq based on a news story) in two PM boxes taped together. I'm not sure whether I ever did it with GH3, but I did check one time and it fit.

How do you get samples from them?

I still have about 50 of the gh3 boxes laying around. Not much else fits in em. Who knows maybe it'll be hot this year again or maybe they'll make gh4 the same size

generally, you get samples by calling them and asking for samples. They usually will even ship it free of charge unless you abuse it. also depends on your account size. some suppliers even have a webform to fill out

if you must do it, please don't do it to uline. find some other packing supply warehouse, they all do it. uline has been too good to me so I don't ask for samples unless I need to figure out which kind of packaging works best for a given item that I have large quantities of.

Yea I agree. I'll do i'll try it here and there when i need 1 or 2 of a certain size box. I definitely spend alot there because of the $300 for free shipping and I know they make pretty good money of me on all those boxes so I don't feel guilty doing it here and there.
