I bought a product for 18 dollars, seller didn`t accept paypal.I sent him then money order by priority mail with tracking. tracking number says it has been received. He then without no communication files Unpaid Item dispute. I give eBay the tracking number and money order number. now what? Could I file that I have not recieved product? money order was sent with tracking. I am upset. this is a good reason why people don`t like to buy on eBay.

You might want to put a trace on the MO. If it shows as cashed by the seller, you have some real leverage, both in fighting the UID as well as in a dandy mail fraud report.

Yes, if you can prove you have paid then an item not received alert would be an appropriate option.

NO matter how much you hate paypal, it is still the safest way to pay for your eBay transaction.

What got me suspious of him besides not accepting paypal was I asked before I sent money order if I could pay a little extra for a delivery confirmation number to track it and he gave me a song and dance that he doesn`t do it because shiping costs will go up. how do I get a trace on a us postal money order?

You would need to file form 6401. Any PO should have it. There's a fee to do it, not sure what it is offhand. You will need to have your receipt.

got same problem last year. I filed claim through eBay and eBay won't give you any refund since it is below $25. You may get your money back by file dispute with usps.

Perhaps the safest way to pay, but not by a long shot the safest way to sell, given all the BS people on FW note about dealing with PP as a seller......IMHO.

I fought back, opened a dispute against him same day, gave money order tracking number and money order number.I said I didn`t receive product. he closed dispute next day and said it was his fault. I finally received product today. it took a whole month to get to me. I closed dispute. I feel like leaving a neutral to let other ebayers know about his sloppyness but I have never left a neutral or negative.

If he was being cooperative with you and was polite the whole time, just leave an honest positive feedback. If he was being an a-hole the whole time, neg him.

it ended
up with positive feedback on both sides but I was honest about his terrible shipping time on the dsrs.
