Hope this is the right forum... first-timer here at FW.

I am interested in the king version of the Sealy Fenway mattress, having seen it at Costco B&M recently. I am trying out a Comfortaire (like Select Comfort) but think I will return it as, although a good bed for the right person, I am not such a person...

I saw where several of you went in for this mattress early this year... was curious what the general user opinion is... how do you all like it? Any problems?

Related topic... has anyone tried the higher-line mattress from Costco... the Sanford, which is nearly twice the $$?

Thanks for all responses. BTW, I am mostly a side sleeper but also on my back, maybe 20% of the night.

No one? Am I in the right forum?

Man, I am in the same boat as you. Trying to read reviews online ... not much luck so far. Will update if I come across something.

I've been looking at this deal also. I searched on US-Mattress.com and reviewed the specs. on several Sealy Posturpedic models. I compared the Fenway specs to these models (coil count, padding type and amount) The Fenway appears to be between the "Premium Protege Plush" ($1099 for King set)and the "Ultra Premium Reatta Ultra Plush" ($1249 for King set) models at US-Mattress, based on the information on the Web page. Based on this comparison, the Fenway is not a bottom of the line posturepedic (although it is not a top of the line model either).

I checked MatressHotline.com. They state that thier "Whitbred Ultra Plush" is the same as the Fenway, except that they provide an upgraded box spring with their set. The King Whitbred set is listed at $1270 at MatressHotline.com. They state in thier "Ask the Matress Pro" section that the upgraded boxspring has a value of about $150. Thus, compared to the price of the Fenway at Costco, the costco set is still a super bargin.

I searched local newspaper adds, and checked posturepedic sets. A true posturepedic King set generally starts at about the $800 range in my area (Cincinnati). These sets listed in the paper are often the bottom of the line models.

All in all, the Fendway appears to be a good matress, and the Costco price appears to be great. It's all about if you like the softness/firmness. MatressHotline states that the softness is about 3.25 out of 5, with 5 being the softness. As you know, Costco indicates that it is between a firm matress, and a pillow top.
I am going to a local Sears or other bedding store this weekend, and lay down on a Posturepedic "Plush" model (not firm, and not pillow or eurotop) (similar to the Fenway) to see if the softness/firmness is correct. Then, most likely go to Costco and buy the bed.

I just purchased the King Fenway from Costco this past weekend and so far I'm very happy with it. I would have preferred if it were a little firmer, but it's still very comfortable. HTH.
Check out this thread in the HD section for more info on this mattress.

IMO the Fenway is not for person that's over 200 lbs and like firm bed.
