Confirm Clearly Pregnancy Tests - Worthless!

I bought this new product because it is digital (little room for error) and it came with a $10 rebate from Rite Aid. I was so excited when I got a positive result. To be sure, I took it again. Negative result. Bought a refill package for another $10 and again, negative results. False positives are said to never occur with pregnancy tests as they can not detect a hormone that isn't there. Sometimes we read them wrong but that doesn't mean they've given a false positive. Confirm Clearly tests are the exception. After I went and got my blood drawn at the docs to confirm I truly was NOT pregnant, I searched reviews online. Women are having false positives all over the place. I tried contacting the company but keep getting the answering machine asking me to leave a message. A very strange message at that. I have yet to hear back from them. Rite Aid did refund my money, which I'm grateful for. This is a very bad product and stores need to remove it from their shelves. Buyer's heart beware.

I agree--I thought I was pregnant for 2 weeks! It was upsetting to say the least.
A better use for this test is to break open each refill and take the battery out and find a use for it (looks like a watch battery)

Why not pay more & get a better test?

They cost $18-$25, depending on where you purchase them. One of the most expensive out there and it's marketed as the newest and best. I wasn't skimping. If I wanted to risk inaccuracies, I would have gone and grabbed a handful of tests at The Dollar Tree.

Always buy 2 different brands.

Sorry to hear about the false positives.

It worked for us. We're now 11 weeks pregnant. Confirmed.

They carry pregnancy tests at the Dollar Store now, although determining Pregnancy with one of those tests is about the same as doing rock-paper-scissors.

Looks like you weren't the only one, OP...FDA had a product recall! http://www.accessdata.fda.gov/scripts/cdrh/cfdocs/cfRes/res.cfm?ID=49537
Reason for Recall: False positives-the firm has received a higher than expected rate of complaints regarding false-positive results.

Action : On November 14, 2006, Mizuho USA and SSL decided to cease further distribution of the product, and to contact SSL''s customers and ask them to return any unsold units. Mizuho USA informed SSL Americas by telephone. On November 21, 2006, SSL Americas sent Recall Notification Letters to each of its customers by US First Class, Certified, Return-receipt mail. The letter included a 'Fax Back' Notification to be use by the firm for recall effectiveness checks. Firm Initiated recall is ongoing.

There is more info on FDA Web site regarding serial numbers, etc.

Thanks for the update. I'm glad enough people complained to get this product pulled.
