I went to Sherwin williams and their best paint was about $48/Gal

then i went to Sears and their best paint was 20 bucks or so.

The people at Sherwin Williams had the exact specs for the paint, like how much solid does it actually have.

Sears sales person didn't even know what i was talking about.

Who makes Sears paint and where can i get the exact specs ? I couldn't find a web site for weather beater paint.

In recent test in Consumer Reports magazine one of the consistently best paints was Behr which is sold in Home Depot. I have used this paint for about 15 years and have always been very satisfied with the results. It costs about the same as the Sears paint. Sherwin Williams paint is a ripoff. It scored in the middle of the pack in tests and my own experience with it was that the Behr paint is better.

Another good brand is Kilz which is sold at WalMart.
