Bought the COREL WordPerfect X3 Home rebate on 7/13 from Frys.com. There are two rebates, $50 and $20 each. The $50 showed up at www.web-rebates.com/Corel briefly with a tracking number (which I wrote down) and then disappeared. Anybody else?

Same thing for me but I didn't write down the tracking number.

just checked. Mine was there, but marked: Submission did not include a valid UPC from a valid WPOX3. Called, and the rep, after getting my personal information and understanding everything I said perfectly, suddenly claimed there was too much static on the line to hear me when I said they made a mistake on my rebate. I was told to call back in a few minutes. Okay, I called back, and the next rep claimed the same thing at the exact the same point in the conversation, after understanding me okay in the beginning. So I called a third time, and this time I asked the rep up front if he could hear me, and I was assured he could. But then when I mentioned my problem, the line went dead! So I called a fourth time, and amazingly this time the rep supposedly corrected the error, but not before I had to point out that the rebate application allowed for a photocopy of the UPC.

And then it was on to their having screwed me on a PaintShopPro XI upgrade rebate, for which they claimed my proof of prior ownership didn't qualify. Supposedly got that one fixed too, although I don't yet see any change in the online status of either of these. We'll see.

One of my submissions came back as undeliverable... offer #WP7549. Went to PO Box 42906, Mesa, AZ 85274-2906.

See this post for the $20 fiasco.

On a different note, my $50 rebate remerged today with a new tracking # (which is different from what I saw a few weeks ago). Something is up. As long as they pay up I am happy.

Gracias.

Ditto. I just got four of these things returned to me and my first step was to check here to figure out what the heck is going on. Now they'll be getting a photocopy of my first envelope with the post-marked date as well as everything else. Grrr

I just received mine back also, Do they have a fax#?
Edit: I was told I HAD to mail it again for a 2nd time.

Hi, all,

I have the same problem and called the Corel rebate center, they said the address in the original form is wrong and provided me with the correct address:

7177 Corel Offer #WP7549
PO Box 7177
Young America, MN 55558-7177

The same address on the rebate form is listed here at corel to send rebates that were returned to sender when tca closed up, the address was correct.
I don't see why they couldn't maintain the po box until all promotions were over, or provide a forwarding address for usps.

I haven't seen my rebates on web-rebates either (not sure if they showed up briefly and disappeared, or if they were never there).

Mine hasn't show up yet but after reading about the return mail fiasco in the other thread I called and verified the address was the same as above.

I chose to submit the form every other merchant seems to have posted for this offer with the above address.

Compusa form
Amazon form
Buy.com form

I called today and got Corel Cust. Service Atten: Resubmit Department, PO box 317014, El Paso, TX 88531-7014 to send it to.

I also called and got the same story about the misprinted rebate form and the address correction. Oddly, when I plugged the Young America address into the zip code finder on the postal service website, it came back as not found. I'll try it anyway and see what happens. Also as others mentioned, the customer service rep claimed that she could not understand me due to static on the phone line (I could hear her quite well).

Both rebates, $50 and $20 (resubmitted), appear on web-rebates. Now wait for the checks

Received the $20 rebate on 9/24. The $50 rebate finally showed up on the site yesterday (with no errors) after re-faxing it to them a second time on 10/2.

$50 rebate was received on 09/14, $20 received today, after resubmission to the new address. I am glad it is over.

My $20 rebate status has been online for weeks till today. Its record disappeared.
Anyone experience the same?

I called and few minutes into my description of the situation, the CSR asked repeatedly if I can hear him and after a while, he seemed to remain silent on the other end.
I had to hang up and called back. After 10 minutes or so, I was given a fax number to resubmit.
Given that my check is due this week or next, this situation is fishy. With the fax resubmit, I was told to expect another 2-4 weeks of processing.

From now on I would stay away from Corel rebate deals altogether. Also if I do not get my check within the next week or so, I will file a complaint with Frys.
