My T-Mobile rebate that I purchased through T-Mobile website in mid July was denied. The reason is: invalid channel of purchase for offer. I checked the rebate form again and it has:
(1) .... from T-Mobile Authorized Retail Partners.

So buying from their web site does not qualify as their "authorized retail partners"? Well, I guess no.

I seem to remember many people jumped on this deal and I am wondering how many people got their rebate.

May I ask what is the T-Mobile billing account number on the rebate form? Can I leave it blank?

alert mods

have you tried reading the whole threads about this?

alert mods

I know there were threads talking about the rebate issue a while ago. I just could not find them anymore. Anyway, I just want to try and see if I could get the rebate.

Check Expired Deals and Rebate tracking forums.

I just talked to their representative and he said that the rebate is good only for purchasing from T-Mobile "STORE" not online. So I am not getting my rebate at all.

ditto. got same run around. in texas can contact attorney general on line and when have time , plan to do. may not do any good, but will make me feel better.

Their logic is simple - buying from tmobile.com is a direct purchase, not through a retail partner.

Are you talking about the T-Mobile To Go Nokia 6030? I got a letter and called the rebate department. They told me "the rebate offer may not be combined or used with any other free, rebate or other promotional offers." They said that since I had got a discount when I purchased online, the rebate is invalid in my case.

Same senario....got denied. What a scam!

Received same "un-qualified selling point" denial from rebate center. Filled complaint with BB, then T-Mobile claimed I'd received "Instant Discount" and still won't pay rebate. This deal was listed in many internet sites. Wonder if T-Mobile paid to have this deal listed.

I purchased from T mobile authorized dealer; got a letter saying that "un-qualified selling point". I know someone who bought online (tmobile.com), got the same letter.

I doubt if anyone will qualify for this rebate.. ; this is nothing but big cheating!!

use this like for making complain about the rebate offer.

the same story, got denied

alert mods

This happened before with the Nokia 6030s that were FAR. Use the BBB link.

I filed a chargeback (unsuccessful) but still received notice that they were sending the check. Guess they knew I'd be trying other things (?) or just everyone else complaining got them to take care of it.

the same thing here in Texas, i made call to rebate center, they said this one doesn't qualified for the $30 rebate, what I am feeling is exactly" T-Mobile is cheating",

How to do the next to make us feel better?

Same boat with an online purchase. The problem is that the form one can fill out online at tmobilerebates.com provides:
"SUCH PURCHASE MUST BE, FROM AN AUTHORIZED T-Mobile RETAIL STORE OR DEALER."
whereas the PDF provides "Offer valid only for the purchase of a T-Mobile To Go Nokia 6030 kit and the T-Mobile To Go service plan from T-Mobile Authorized
Retail Partners."

T-Mobile refuses to acknowledge that the first form, which exists on their website, exists at all and I spent the better part of an hour being told that they believe me but that there is absolutely nothing that they can do. One person offered that the price I paid was already discounted while another points to new verbiage on the website that shows no rebates are valid with this phone (which verbiage surely wasn't there at the time I placed the order).

They also say, which I don't believe to be the case, that since June there was a link on the order page for the 6030 indicating that there was no rebate available with the purchase.

I also received two denial letters after an overly apologetic CSR told me all of the 1st denial letters went out in error. I haven't decided if I'll continue to fight or let it go. I'm sure that T-Mo is hoping that the majority of people will give up the fight so I really don't want to!
