I see some very old threads about XFX Technology here, nothing new so I think this isn't a repost.

Anyone have good luck with XFX Technology rebates via Buy.com? I bought a new video card (PVT44AWANG) that came with a $10 MIR. I mailed the rebate claim A MONTH AGO and they received my rebate claim THREE WEEKS ago (I have the DC to prove it).

I was growing concerned until today, when I received an e-mail that they have received my rebate claim. How it takes them 3 weeks to open an envelope and key a rebate claim escapes me. However, the claim says "We have received your submission and it is being processed. The estimated mail date for your check is 13-Dec-2007."

Now, it looks like all is well, but I am always rubbed the wrong way by ANY rebate company that takes 3 weeks after receipt to key in it's rebate claims and then tells me it will be ANOTHER 6 weeks before they will be getting around to mailing my $10 rebate check. It is the year 2007 and 10 weeks from mailing until one gets their rebate check seems like a snails pace. I know, I know.. it could be worse, but any company that takes 10 weeks to process a rebate claim in this day and age certainly isn't making ANY effort to move swiftly.

Don't know how well XFX is at funding but by your description it looks like rebatestatus.com is the one handling it (typical status format for them.)

Both Web-Rebates (now Young America) and Rebatestatus (CPG) typically take 3 to 4 weeks before the status shows up online. My general rule of thumb is that if it states max 8 wks it will take 12 wks and if it states max 12 wks it will take 16 wks.
