I bought the BT headset on thanksgiving day when they advised 9.99 after $30 MIR online. I just printed out the rebate from and it says purchase date shall be Nov 23-24. I called rebate center and they told me they couldn't help me. I called OD and the CSR just kept telling me I shall buy it one day later. I will try another CSR later. But anyone had same problem? any suggestion other than a little bit word editing? thanks.

If you bought it outside the date range the rebate center will deny you and not budge. Your best bet is to complain to OD saying they advertised the price and sold it to you; here is where a screen shot would really help

I have a different problem with the rebate center. I waited and purchased on the correct days to avoid any problems, sent them the reciept, UPC, and rebate form.

Today I got a post card saying "A valid UPC was not submitted".

Totally pissed, I would have never bought this thing if it was $40, I only wanted it for $9.99.

Can someone PLEASE private message me a copy of the UPC for this headset rebate.

This is the first time I've ever had any problems with a rebate, reflects poorly on Office Depot and the whole rebate scam.

Did you call the number on the postcard? Same thing happened with me and my friend. This is a huge scam by Office Depot. I had made copies of everything before sending in, and I was 100% sure I DID send the UPC. And there is no way they could have missed it --it was almost 4 * 10 inches.

So I called them and I was told that they sent me the postcard by mistake, and I would be getting a check in 2 to 3 weeks.

If you are sure you sent the UPC, call them up and insist that they "find" your UPC.

I just went and bought another one and used the color photocopier at work and some card stock and sent it in, then returned the 2nd one.

If they want to play games I will too, now they have a returned item they can't sell as new, should have just given me my rightfully deserved rebate since I *did* submit the UPC. Last time I ever buy anything from them that requires a rebate.

My issue-

I bought two on BF. I specifically asked if the rebate could be used on more than one when I bought it.

They printed out two rebate forms with the receipt. On the rebate form, there was NO limit per person or household, only a limit of one rebate per qualifying purchase.

So I submitted both rebate slips (one for each).

We received one, no problem (have the check already), but did not hear a peep about the other. So I called today. The first person did "broken record" technique, repeatedly indicating that the rebate was one per household. So I did the broken record, repeatedly indicating that that was nowhere stated on the rebate form and was directly in opposition to what Office Depot had told me. We probably spent 10 minutes saying the same thing back and forth to each other, until she finally indicated there was nothing further she could do for me, and I requested to speak to her supervisor. She put me on hold then said she was transferring me to her supervisor.

I waited, listening to a ringing phone, for 15 minutes, before hanging up and calling again. Got another rep, who looked up the info and indicate that OD was wrong, the offer was not limited to one per household, and that they would be mailing out my other rebate. I asked for email confirmation. Have not received it yet, and will call back if I do not receive the meail confirmation by Tuesday.

I have no problem with 1 per household if that is stated. But when it is not, and I check, I've followed the requirements of the policy, and should not have to jump through hoops to get it. Sigh.

I see the rebate checks are already arriving.

Does anyone have the rebate center's phone number?
