On December 6, 2007, FYE had a deal of the day where you could buy season sets of The Simpsons for $19.99 and then file for a $10 virtual gift card rebate for each set. The offer stated: "Purchase any or all seasons today and receive a $10 virtual f.y.e. gift card for each season after mail-in rebate! Offer valid today only, 12/6/2007 on new product only."
I got my FYE virtual gift card via email on 2/7/08 from the rebate for this deal. For these kind of multiple item deals, the fear is always that they will mess up the number of rebates you are applying for, or say that you can only get one.
Well, that happened. my virtual gift card was for only $10 even though I bought 9 seasons so it should be 9x$10=$90.
here is the original text from the rebate form:

The wording "one rebate submission per item (UPC)" means that we can get more than one rebate for different items. The statement "Only one rebate submission per envelope" is more ambiguous because it isn't clear whether we should submit all items separately. My take was that the checkboxes up above (which weren't actually aligned correctly with the items) meant that multiple items could be submitted on the same form.
I called them today (rebateshq) and the guy found my rebate but said it only showed one $10 rebate was submitted and approved and sent. Yes, I already knew that. He could not help any further and referred to "Ecounts" which handles the virtual gift cards at 866-272-2461 but that answers "TCLA5 "Tcast" communications. Your call cannot be completed as dial. Please hang up and try again." I sent in another inquiry at fyerebates.com, which is just rebateshq and will see what happens.
So consider this an heads up for anybody else that did this rebate and a call for suggestions on how to tackle this...
thanks.
