This thread is related the the deal thread with the same name that was active back in January.

Shortly after I submitted the rebate, the status at www.rebatestatus.com was shown as "We have received your submission and it is being processed. The estimated mail date for your check is 25-Apr-2008."

I've been randomly checking my rebate status and have seen the estimated mail date change to April 30th to May 1st then back to April 30th. Recently, however, I checked the status and it just says "We have received your submission and it is being processed. Submission status information is updated daily. Please continue to check this website to find the mail date for your submission."

I wonder what would prompt them to drop the estimated mail date.

I've only had experience with a few of the Staples Easy Rebates, but they've spoiled me. This waiting 3-4 months is ridiculous.

I have nothing to do with this rebate but came across your question. I have dealt with rebatestatus before and the kind of change you describe usually means your check has been mailed. Unfortunately, the web site doesn't show that for a few days and in the meantime you will probably receive your check. So, hang in there or give them a call tomorrow.

The latest status is "We have received your submission and it is being processed. The estimated mail date for your check is 13-May-2008." Let's see if this date is more realistic than the previous two.

I received the check yesterday. So, 100% of the people in this thread waiting for checks have received them.
