I wonder if anyone else is in the same boat as I do.
Circuit City had an offer of $150 rebate for ATT dsl(pro or elite package) valid through the end of February 08. I signed up on CC's website and got activated on the service. After the first month bill arrived, I sent in the mail-in rebate form along with all the required documents. A few weeks later, I received a letter from the CC rebate center saying that the "ticket number" is missing. I provided the order number I received in the order confirmation email however the CSR said that number was invalid. I explained that was the only reference number I received but the csr insisted that without the right "ticket number", the rebate can't be validated. I then talked with someone at the customer service department, they couldn't even find any information on their system regarding this order. What's going on here?
Did anyone run into the same problem? What's the solution?
Your advice is highly appreciated.

The exact same thing happened to me when I signed up for Comcast Internet through their Web-Site and learnt mine lesson that MUST have gone in the store to do it to get that ticket #. In any case I was able to get my rebate by calling the # on the rebate form and stressing upon the CSR to look through my paperwork and let ME know what ticket # I had sent in since I don't work for CC and don't know what their order or ticket #s mean. The CSR girl said she didin't have access to my paperwork scans but I kept insisting for her to find them and look through them. Finally, she just wen ahead and validated my rebate. So Good Luck. Other alternative is to call the company (CC uses a 3rd party) on whose website you placed the order and have them help you get the ticket #.

Thank you for sharing your experience.

I think the ticket number if from the service activation. I went through this 16 months ago and Finally got the rebate credited to my account 7 months ago after several phone calls over 3 months.
