I did the Migo Registry Repair FAR deal back in Feb 08.

Today I received this e-mail from the vendor that process the rebate.

Dear Customer,
This email is in response to your claim to a rebate on your recently purchased Migo Software product.

MyRebateOnline.com regrets to inform you that Migo Software, Inc. recently ceased operations. We have attempted to contact Migo Software numerous times regarding the payment of your rebate amount, but our attempts have been unsuccessful. As of May 7, 2008, Migo Software has failed to provide the funds necessary for MyRebateOnline.com to fulfill your rebate claim. If and when such funds are received, we will forthwith remit to you any outstanding rebate entitlement. However, at this time, we suggest that you contact the retailer from which you purchased your Migo Software product for further information and/or contact Migo Software directly at (949) 263-8550 or info@migosoftware.com.


We apologize for this inconvenience and will contact you should we receive any further information on this matter.

Thanks for the info. I was still waiting for a $10 rebate for Migo software that I submitted in December.

When I contacted myrebateonline, all they told me was:

myrebateonline said:We are waiting for the vendor to fund your rebate. Thank you for your patience

Since I purchased my item from Frys, I will now go to them to get my rebate fulfilled.

Unfortunately for me the original vendor was CompUSA which is now under different ownership.

Well, I bought MIGO digital f****kup from OD back in Jaunary, 2008, it was fine on www.rebatestatus.com until Aptil, suddenly the status of this rebate was gone and only needed me to call 18008888888 which is a weird company. Called OD exec. office and they told me they will take care of the $30 rebate, just FYI if you bought from OD.

Can't believe I got into the same situation twice
Last time it was Connect3D and we filed a lot of complaints at BBB, FTC and California Attorney General's office.
I urge everybody in the same situation to do the same against Buy.com.
You can refer to this thread on how to file the complaints.

This is the response I got from Frys.Com regarding the rebate from now defunt Migo Software.

If you kept copies of everything you submitted (receipt, rebate form, UPC bar code, etc.) you can fax your copies to 408-487-4700. We will pass your submission to our home office for processing.

Frys is stepping up and paying for the Migo rebates they advertised. I received a check today for two Migo rebates from December of last year.

I got my check from Frys.Com today. That's nice of them to do this because Migo went belly up.

Buy.com in the past couple of days has credited my credit card that I used for purchasing two Migo items that had rebates outstanding. I'm still waiting to get a credit from Frys.com. I hope that comes soon. Thank you Buy.com!

Now my losses have been cut in half.
