As far as I can tell, there isn't a pressing need to combine forums though. An expired deal is expired regardless of whether or not a rebate was part of the original deal.
Once a deal with a rebate has expired, discussion of the rebate can continue here. If you get in on a deal that involves a MIR, it may be a good idea to start a discussion about the rebate here & to link that in the quick summary of the posted deal.
Those are just my initial thoughts. Please refute them if you can.
