Office depot rebate - FL state attorney investigating Archived From: Deal Discussion

I received a letter today from FL state attorney asking me provide them documents for OD rebates which I am missing. I remember filing a complaint last year. It looks like a lot of people have complained and there is a special officer ( investigator ) assigned to the case.

I dont have paperwork for the old rebates but currently I am missing a $70 rebate. The rebate appeared till end of June on web-rebates.com and then all of a sudden vanished. Rebate center is not helpful inspite of faxing resubmits. I even mailed them documents but still it hasnt appeared.

I will be following up with FL state attorney with this current rebate...

Did anyone receive any such letter?

I wrote an email to OD yesterday ( sunday morning ) mentioning that if I dont see my $70 valid rebate on web-rebates.com by end of Tuesday I will forward all documents related to it to FL state fraud investigator.

This morning I checked status and I see a valid $70 rebate online for the same offer..Now thats what I am talking about

I just got the same letter. I filed a complaint, but it was a few years ago and OD ended up resolving it. I'm going to call the AG's office tomorrow and ask. If they still want the info, I'd certainly send the affidavit b/c OD annoys me.
