Redeem points for PS2, XBox, Gamecube, games, DVD's, etc.
I invested about 6 hours of time and redeemed my points for a Playstation 2. It arrived on 12/2/03. I started the process on 11/20/03.
If you do this deal, here are some pointers:
1. Keep a spreadsheet of all trials you sign up for. They charge your credit card anywhere from $1 to $6 dollars for the trial period.
2. Keep all email confirmations of cancellation.
3. Search DVDforums.com for FreeDVDs.com(there are multiple sites in one). There is a useful table of 1-800 numbers you'll need for cancelling some of the trials and which ones should be avoided.
I've modified this deal due to it not being clear about being a Hot Deal and the site was misspelled in the subject line(Sorry). The original poster of this hot deal was flamed for posting this deal. It works...
Update from user [HitLines] 1/21/2004:
As a service to all the Fatwallet members I have enclosed the Excel (Calc for openoffice.org) template I use when keeping track of off these points. The first book contains the breakdown of how all your points were achieved. The second book has all the cancellation numbers of any offer you might sign up for. I will update the cancellation numbers as I get them. If you have a number that is not on the list please PM me with the necessary information. Also PM me if you use this breakdown guide to keep me motivated to update it. Thanks guys!
Here's some more information orginally posted by aru a few weeks ago...
Its as easy as 1,2,3 but it will take a little bit of your time. I did it in no more than 45 minutes: Just follow these easy steps:
One words of caution, cancel the memberships in time, do not let stupid $40 charges appear on your card for not canceling the one-day trial in time. Other than that here it is.
8000 Points for " PS2 package and Xbox Package" 6000 for Game Cube 4000 for Game Boy Advance
please go to http://www.FreeDVDs.com/default.aspx?
sign up with them , they just need your Email address and your first name " I recommend that you open a new Email account since you will be getting a lot of Junk Email offers" after you sign up just start collecting Points, Donít 4get you only need 8000 Points to get the system and the extras
Sign up with the following Promotions " I recommend that you open a Microsoft word file and copy and paste all the promotions you signed up with and your Passwords so you donít have to go through the mess of writing on papers" DONíT 4GET , ALL THE OFFERS ARE FREE TRIALS, WHICH MEAN YOU WONíT BE CHARGED FOR THEIR AFTER TRIAL RATE, BUT YOU HAVE TO CANCEL YOUR MEMBERSHIP BEFORE THE TRIAL ENDS.
Most OFFER free trials of 30DAYS so you have plenty of time to cancel or even try them out before you cancel. BUT some offer free trials of 24HOURs so these try to cancel them as fast as you can for you not to be charged. ∑ GAME BOY ADVANCE for $10 free s/h no tax ∑ To get the GAME CUBE for $21 shipped free no tax, you have to Sign up with the promotions ∑ To get the PS2 package or the XboX package or the Home theater SYSTEM " sells for more than $300 on Amazon.COM",
you have to sign up with all the following promotions: Offer Points Your Cost when2Cancel Home Work Plus 300P $1 within 30 day FitMD 500P $2.68 Immediately Shopping4Money 500P $2.68 Immediately WinAnyLotto 500P $2.68 Immediately Psychic Realm 500P $2.95 Immediately FREE Bidding 500P $1 IMMediately Essentials 300p $1 within 30 Day Psychics4free 500p $1 immediately
Believe it or not: you could already get the Sony DVD player that sells for $100 every where for $15 Shipped free already with the 3600 Points you collected already , what you going to get at the End is waaaaaaaay much better
Official Auctions 500P $2.95 Immediately Connections 300p $1 Within 30days Premier Health Plus 300P $1 Within 30days Simple Escapes 300P $1 within 30days Value Max shopping Service 300P $1 within 30days Bargain.Com 300P Free Within 30days AOL 8.0 Free Trail 500P Free Trial within 45days Driving 4 Dollars 500P $2.95 Immediately Galleria 300P $1 within 30days NetMarket 200P $1 within 90days Miracle Burn 500P $3 within 4days EXCell 400P $3 within 4days
Thatís it, now you have 8000 points, all it cost you is hmm, letís do the math WOW, $32.89
Now donít 4get that you need to cancel all your Memberships for you not to be charged extra. Now how could you get it?
After you have collected that 8000P "some points they might take a little bit "less than 7 days Max" of time for you to be credited"
To get your PS2 just do the following:
go to freedvds.com http://www.FreeDVDs.com/default.aspx?
Sign in Click on ACCOUNT At the bottom of the screen where it says You can earn and spend your points at all of these sites: FreeDVDs.com | FreeVideoGames.com | FreeCondoms.com | FreeGiftPlanet.com Click on freevideogames.com Sign in with the same Email address and password Click on PlayStations 2 And order your System now for 8000 Points And complete the check out They will ship it to you for free!!!
And here is the Best Part, everything will be shipped from BestBuy or amazon.com And you know what, you could even order with the same 8000 points the Rio Home theater System that sells everywhere for $250 at least Plus Tax + s/h
I hope this info has been helpful to you
MORE INFO ---------------- There are some other easy offers to do as well but the cost to point ratio is not as good, so if you need some quick points poke around I believe one is the millions real estate, it is a little pricey but it is easy points if you need it. The immediate cancellation offers should are simple to cancel with an online form. You can do this 3 minutes after you sign up if you like. The 30 days ones take a phone call. You need separate address and emails if you redo the system. You may need a new credit card, but you might get by without. You can cancel the offers any time and still get points, but just to be sure I would not cancel the 30 days ones until after you order your stuff. good luck

I can attest to this site working, I have recieved MOH: Rising Sun, PS2 Remote, DDR Max and DDR Max2 and a PS2 stand for very little $$. All brand new sealed Official items
I also have recieved an MP3 player from www.freegiftplanet.com
Can whole-heartly recommend it, even if it does take a while to accumulate the points that you want

Anybody combined this deal with one-time-use credit cards?
so that you don't have to bother with cancelling the subscriptions?
edit: and where is a good place to get a single use CC?
posted: Dec. 5, 2003 @ 7:19p
I want to do this. Seems well worth it to me. Is it just me or does it look like all the suggested offers that you posted are not there anymore? I want to do this the best way possible.

Many of the subscriptions can be cancelled online, so I concentrate on those (all the online cancellers I have found so far use billingsupport.com.. pretty quick and relatively painless). As for the one time CCs to protect yourself, I have found Citibank to have the best service. You can generate a one time use with a limit. Good luck,

have you had any trouble cancelling more than one on billingsupport.com? I was in a hurry to try this out, so I used 3 offers, cancelled all but one (have to call to cancel Lowes HomeWorks Plus in 3-5 days) and now I don't get any "trial" offers on any of the billingsupport.com sites, so I'm thinking it cut me off from them after i got and cancelled two.

Do you really get most of the free offers? If so it's even more worth it. I've signed up with 9 so far. all the instant ones.

How long does it take for the immediate points to be added to your account? Also how long does it take for the emails to be sent?

well i was able to get 7300 points in a day and i have already asked for an xbox-so lets see if it comes through. and yeah you guys should check out www.webcertificate.com, they give you a one time gift certificate which can be used as a mastercard-a few websites accept it. so i bought around $40 worth stuff. actually i wud highly recommending people to sign up for the book clubs, once the points are credited to your account, go back and cancel the order that you have placed with the book clubs. hopefully this should work. atleast i was able to get 4000 points thru that and since we need only 3000 more for an xbox-its worth it...
hopefully it helps someone..<img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif"border=0>

i'd be really impressed if your xbox comes.

Don't forget alot of the offers like eversave, gallaria, off free 25 gift cards for the free trial so you can get more.

well i would be surprised too but i guess it wud be more like a pleasant one. well as someone said nothing ventured nothing gained. but if you do go to that dvdtalk forum i think you would have to believe you have a very good shot at getting the xbox to you one month after you place the order. and yeah my points were credited immediately-but then the book clubs have some problems with the cookies-you would have to enable all the cookies and stuff to get those points..

I wonder why mine haven't gone through. I looked at my credit card balance and I still haven't been charged for any of the things I've signed up for. I've been doing this for the past 3 hours and not one credit point.

Can I use my debit card at www.freevideogames.com ?
important notes... 1) take advantage of most of the instant offers 2) use webcertificates (www.webcertificate.com) or one time use CC (however some one time uses are not true one time use ones). 3) cancel asap 4) do one site at a time (freedvds4me,freevideogames,yourfreedvds)... space these out by about a month, and use different email addresses
It works, it takes great record keeping, and it is a good deal, but takes some effort.
Case in point (my close family/friends) have received over 100 dvd's, several xbox's, 2 PS2, and some game cubes.
All this by following the faq's at dvdtalk forums...

Yes you can use it for all the offers. I did.

Why is it so important to use a one time cc or web certificate? I will do that next time, but I used my debit card and credit card. Whats bad about that? I plan on cancelling everything tomorrow.

In my experience they send a cancel confirm email almost immediately after you cancel. If you receive the email everything seems to go smoothly. If not, I would go back and cancel again (thus far I have had a 100% success rate with the cancels). Good luck.
