Latest firefox update - page scroll lag

Anybody else notice the latest Firefox update causes page scrolling on the net to have a bit of a slowed or lag effect.

After installing the latest update, I uninstalled it to keep my pages scrolling. Has anybody else noted the scroll issue, and is there a way to get the latest update and still scroll fast like the prior versions?

Thanks

What version are you running?

If you are on Firefox 13 - I think they enabled "smooth scrolling" by default (or a similar option). This does not cause any "lag" on my PCs but if you want to turn it on/off check in Options --> Advanced --> General.

Not sure, how do I find out.?

I'm pretty good at updating Firefox, so the prior version is what I went back to and am using right now.

The Latest update was 13.0.1, which was causing the scroll lag. I used Restore point to uninstall latest version and went back to the prior version and scrolling is peachy. I would like to keep up to date with updates though if I can get a smooth scroll I currently have.

I think that's what caused the issue. My current ( past Firefox version ) Firefox does not have " smooth scrolling " checked. When I check the box, it gives me the same lag that I was experiencing with the update.

I'll try and update tonight and see if unchecking that option with a software update gets me back where I like.

Thanks

No lag(FF 13) but the update has got it closer to Chrome. Bad idea Firefox!

I do find that with smooth scroll enabled, some sites scroll in what feels like microlines. I've turned it off until its resolved

Everything's peachy since I turned off smooth scrolling on latest update.

Adblocker for FF also caused a lag in my scrolling. Along with stuttering/hanging youtube videos.

Glad I found your post. Worked for me as well.

What really annoyed me when I updated to Firefox 13 is how the update disrespected my choice to have smooth scrolling off, and simply turned it back on without my consent. If the developers wanted to showcase the new smooth scrolling algorithm to those who don't use smooth scrolling, they ought to have done it through the "Welcome to Firefox - Hooray! Your Firefox is up to date." page.

I feel your words as I have gone through the same situation. I also want to protest against the Firefox policy...!!!
