I had an iomega few years ago, it failed on me. I lost all the data.
So, I am looking for something that you had personal experience with. A friend of mine has WD My Book Live. I like the features like accessing files from anywhere, even outside network. And share specific folders, etc. I would appreciate any recommendations.

No matter what you get, keep a second copy of your data. Whether you get something with a built in mirror or you get 2 and just copy them. There is NOTHING that is 100% safe, nothing that guarantees you won't lose your data. If it's important, have a backup.

i have the DNS-323, it's a 2 disk box, so you can build in redundancy
