New to Firebird? Read the thread and about all of the extensions ? Head still spinning? Try Blackdiamond. It's a prepackage of Firebird and includes a few of the most popular extensions.
Merry Christmas!
Happy Holidays! |

Also, if you like keyboard shortcuts, here is a list of them for Internet Explorer, Opera, and Firebird. |

Probably a dumb question, but here goes: is MyIE2 different than IE? I use IE, largely because I had no idea that other browsers existed. Lots of info in this thread....
I guess the real question is this: are these other browsers workable by mere mortals (like myself), without vast computer knowledge?
By the way, thanks to everyone who's contributed to this. Learning is good! |

AFAIK MyIE2 if just a modification to IE, so it's still based on the IE core. (And thus has many of the security problems of IE) But it certainly does improve IE, if that's what you're looking for.
Fatcats, if you're interested in trying Firebird, I suggest the Blackdiamond variation. The normal Firebird builds require a bit of tweaking to get them to how you want them but Blackdiamond has most (if not all) of the basic things needed already in it.
Hope that helps. |

Here's the Firebird FAQ. (Chances are that if you have a question about Firebird it can be answered here.) |

Until the extension list is back up you can find a list of extensions here, just be sure to choose "Show extensions for: Firebird" otherwise some of the regular mozilla extensions could pose a problem in Firebird. |

thanks to someone's recommendation of MyIE2, i now use that instead of mozilla due to browser compatibilities. |

I'm curious, browser compatibilities? The Mozilla engine is much more compatible with internet W3C standards than IE. (The IE core doesn't support them at all) |

What updated in Mozilla that made it go from "Great," to "Spiffy," and now "Speedy?" |

Just can't quite decide on the right word to use, perhaps I should just call it "Alternative to Internet Explorer -- Mozilla Firebird -- Why don't you give it a try?" |
