Firebird is awesome! The tabbing is the best. I now don't have to have twenty browser windows open. I do one site per window, with multiple tabs per window when I stay within the site. Great for when I want to read multiple articles in the same site. |

Also, you can open a new Tab three ways. Right-click and selecting New Tab, Ctrl-click, middle button click. |

fluteboy, have you installed the Tabbrowser Preferences Extension? It allows you to really customize the behavior of tabs. Since the extension page is down, Here's a direct link to the installation file. |

Fatcats, if you're interested in trying Firebird, I suggest the Blackdiamond variation. The normal Firebird builds require a bit of tweaking to get them to how you want them but Blackdiamond has most (if not all) of the basic things needed already in it.
Hope that helps. >> I like MyIE2 best. It has it all (Well, just about ). You keep talking about all of the security holes in IE. I think you are making everyone paranoid about it. There really aren't a lot of security holes that haven't been fixed (using the windows updates). And the ones that still exist pose almost no problems. My bet is that if as many people tried finding holes in Mozilla, as do try finding holes in IE, we would see just as many in Mozilla. As far as Firebird not having Active X, blah, as long as you aren't dumb, there is no problem with having Active X. Active X is essential for some of the stuff I do. But then again I have never used Firebird , who knows, maybe I'll give it a try. |

True, many IE problems have been fixed by countless Windows updates, however for some it's not easy to keep up with the insane number of downloads. (Especially those still on dial up)
If you're concerned about browser security, try this browser security test. (The first one I found on google searching for "browser security test"
There is a relatively experimental ActiveX plugin for Firebird if you search for it. (and really need it) |

In addition to the google tool bar (the unsupported mozilla one) I recommend the Vivisimo search plugin (for the multi-engine search box) available here through a link called "Mozilla Users - Install Search Plugin!". Fatwallet uses Vivisimo technology for the search associated with the box in the upper right. Vivisimo clusters search results based on category, it's pretty neat. (IMO) |

Been a Phoenix/Firebird user since 0.3 and Thunderbird user since 0.1. Love it!. It is so nice to be able to filter out ads, pop-ups, annoying flash, ActiveX and other junk and just look at the content of websites. Huge thumbs up from an enthusiastic user. |
