Very nice! Thanks OP.
Although I noticed it's a "Express" version, like kinda how Outlook "Express" is free, but its a much crappier version of the regular Outlook. |

Thanks OP. Downloaded a copy. Not sure what I'll do with it, but free is free. Isn't that the FW spirit?

Just go to:
http://sba.microsoft.com/release.html
and click on the "Office Accounting Home" tab at the upper right.
BTW, this is in general and not directed to anyone in particular, but tell people how many years you have been in one industry does not buy one any recognition in my opinion. Especially when it was followed by some unfounded comments.
e.g.
"I am a doctor for 20 years and I have not seen that before." "I am a mechanic for 20 years and it has always worked for me." |

WOW. I started at 12MB per second in download and it quickly dropped to an average of 1.2MB/s
That has to be the quickest download speed EVER for a home internet. And that is odd considering that comcast said I will max out at 6MB/s. |

If you don't know what the point of a 'thank you' is. A great resource is 1-800-get-clue. They also cover 'you're welcome', 'please' and 'good morning.' As an added bonus, they give an introductory course entitled 'Basic Human Interaction.' |

This is a 'free' program, and will remain so (for the foreseeable future). It is intended to replace the paper and pencil accounting system... and to provide and entry level for the new 2007 Office Accounting Program that will be released next year. This is designed to get business's started, and once they are hooked, get them to upgrade to the new Office 2007 (and Live Office). This is a great program for most 'mom and pop' business's' however many will find that it falls a bit short of what they want in the long run, and as such will be ready for the 'upgrade' when it becomes available.
(Think Outlook Express vs Outlook)

It costs $$$ to develop this software and MS is giving it away for free? Maybe this is part of Microsoft marketing strategy.
