Computer Associates offers a one-year trial of its CA Anti-Virus 2008 for free. That's the best deal we've seen for this software this year. Registration is required.
Correct. They never actually listen to what a person is saying. In the year I had CA my computer never had a virus and I found it odd. I installed AVG and it immediately found virus' and now my computer runs better than it ever did with CA Antivirus and their Spyware program. Only get this if you have no other options.

This has been an ongoing deal for at least 6 or 7 years that I know of. Hidden deep within the MS website, a few of us in the IT world knew about it and passed it on.
Unfortunately, CA's product has gotten bloated and overwhelmingly resource-intensive over the years and what used to get a decent recommendation by me now gets lumped in (just slightly) above Suckmantec and CrapAfee products.
Do yourself a favor and pass on this, get AVG or Avast. BTW, those are free for more than 1 year.
