Opera Browser Version 9.63
Opera Browser Version 8.54

I have two versions of Opera Browser on my computer
and the Icons for them when both are running are identical.

When I look in the opera.exe files for other Icons there's only one.

How can I find a suitable but diifferent icon for one of the Opera Icons so
that I can see the difference when both are running?

I see icon editors online but I don't need to spend that much time. I would be happy with a generic ' O '
Icon that simply looks different enough for me to tell that there's two different icons one for each
version of Opera.

I've never installed an icon except within windows and when the .exe or .dll file offered it to me by
right clicking on the exe or dll file.

Could you mention in a few lines how to affix an icon to a program when the program didn't offer it to me?

Thanks for your advice.

Right Click the icon you want to change.
Click Change Icon
On the top line click browse
Goto c:\windows\system32\SHELL32.dll

There should be about 50 icons for you to pick from.

That'll change the launch icon, but it doesn't change the icon that displays on the windows tab on the taskbar.

In order to change the icon the program displays when run, you'll have to actually edit the .exe file, with a program like Resource Editor.
