do you still have it? I actually re-installed the T on my compaq laptop. It was hard, took 3 hours but I did it with a pair of tweezers. first I carefully removed the function key (because it's a key I rarely use) and noted how it was installed, keeping everything carefully in place. Then I re-installed it and then re-installed the T.
Depends on if the little tangs broke or if it just came off. Do a google search and you'll find methods of reinstalling ii if just came off. Some replacement Dell laptop keyboards are not too expensive. I replaced one on a 7 year old laptop for less than $35 and was well worth it. That was a replacement fromDell. Probably could have been found cheaper for a little less. Personally for the sake of a comma, I'd just press the piece underneath and forget about it.
I've replaced laptop keyboards several times. Cheap replacements are available on eBay. Replacing keyboards is usually pretty easy and Dell has great service docs online to guide you through it.
