Just curious if I can purchase DDR2-1066 RAM for the Asrock ION 330. I know sometimes you can put RAM in the system and it will operate at a lower speed either due to cost or to overclock. I looked all over the net and couldn't find any info on this as the Asrock accept up to DDR2-800 ram but you can over clock the system so I'm thinking DDR2-1066 could possibly work.

Extended SPD probably includes even more. IOW I'd be very surprised if DDR2-1066 won't work at 800 MHz. BTW, don't buy any modules labelled for nonstandard voltages. For DDR2 the highest standard voltage is 1.8V, and any recommendation for a higher one means the chips are overclocked or failed testing at standard voltage. The only exception I know of is Crucial, whose 2.0V DDR2 is supposedly guaranteed even at 1.8V. Notice how Crucial performed much better than other DDR2 brands in last December's review from Tom's Hardware.
