Personally, I am always amused that people cannot find anything to do in a large American city. I have always found something in any city to be interesting at least for a day or two. What are your interests? What do you like to do? What have you found on Google? The Museum Center has five museums in a historical art deco train station. |
Museum Center should keep you busy for a weekend. When I lived there in the 90s, Mt Adams had great bars and restaurants overlooking the city, and they should all still be there. Make sure you go to a Skyline Chili, or you haven't really been to Cincy. |

Cincinnati is a fun city. I recommend visiting the Hofbrauhaus in Newport. It is a large German restaurant near the river on the Kentucky side. |
A couple of years ago when we were in Cincinnati, we visited a park on the river, then drove over to KY to eat on the river. There are a few different bridges to see/drive on if you are at all interested in stuff like that. Cincinatti is a great down, just walking around would be nice. I don't know where you are coming from, but if you want to drive a couple of hours each way, you could go to Louisville, KY where Churchill Downs is, plus they have horse statues all around town. But, there is more than enough to do right in Cincy |
The new Underground Railroad museum has won national acclaim. We went there last year, and my kids were blown away by the live guided tour, especially the actual restored slave pen you go into. If you are a foodie or into international things, Jungle Jims, a Super WalMart sized international grocer is pretty unique....It won an award for its restroom design (won't give it away what kind of award, but can find out through google if you want). |
There's also Kings Island up in Mason about 1/2 hour away. Great Roller Coasters. Montgomery Inn Ribs too. : |
Your were asking for things to do in Cincinnati. There is a great amusement park called Kings Island which is owned by Cedar Point. There website is www.pki.com |
Plenty to keep you busy for a weekend some not already mentioned: Food: |
If you're looking to go to restaurants/bars in town while you're here, one thing to keep in mind is that smoking is prohibited indoors in all bars and restaurants in Ohio, whereas this smoking is permitted in bars in Kentucky. Just something to keep in mind. |
