$425 is no deal. I rented a minivan for under $200 including taxes for a week in May at LAX from Hertz, no less.

That's a terrible deal in almost all circumstances. Maybe you'd expect to pay that in a peak family oriented market like Orlando in mid-summer, but for CA, OR or NV with a intrastate-only restriction...that's a waste of $.

wow... how the heck did you do that?!? all of Priceline.com prices right now are $450/week or $120/day for a minivan
